Once the feature is enabled and roles are set up. This guide walks you through the full setup process, from turning on the functionality to adding widgets and assigning dashboard access by role.
Step 1: Enable the Dynamic Dashboards Feature
Before you can create a custom dashboard, make sure the dynamic dashboards feature is enabled:
Go to Features Dashboard and turn on the Dynamic Dashboards option.
Next, ensure this feature is enabled for the appropriate roles in Role Management.
Step 2: Access the Configure Custom Dashboards Area
Once the feature is enabled:
Go to the Admin area.
Under the Site tab, click Configure Custom Dashboards.
Youโll see a list of any existing custom dashboards.
You can edit an existing dashboard or create a new one.
Step 3: Create a New Custom Dashboard
Click New Custom Dashboard.
Enter a name for the dashboard.
Assign a default role, this role will automatically use this dashboard unless changed.
Click Save to confirm the initial settings.
Step 4: Set Dashboard Access by Role
In the dashboard settings, open the Accessible By drop-down.
Select one or more roles that should have access to this custom dashboard.
Save your changes.
Step 5: Add and Customize Widgets
Click the Widgets box to open the widget customisation screen.
Select Add/Edit Widget to browse available widgets.
Tick the checkbox next to each widget you want to display.
Save your selections.
