We've implemented comprehensive updates to our CQC notification forms in this release, introducing new master data management capabilities and enhancing user experience across all notification types. These improvements ensure better data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and consistent interfaces throughout the platform.

These updates include the introduction of centralized Regulated Activities management, enhanced demographic field options, and improved UI consistency across all CQC forms. All changes maintain compatibility with existing workflows while providing enhanced functionality for better compliance and user experience.

What’s new

Regulated Activities Master Data Management

We've introduced a new master data category for Regulated Activities, providing centralized control over activity options used across all CQC notification forms. This ensures consistency, accuracy, and easier maintenance of regulated activity information.

Benefits:

  • Centralized Control -- All CQC forms now use the same regulated activities data source, eliminating inconsistencies

  • Easy Management -- Add, edit, or remove activities from one central location with immediate updates across all forms

  • Data Accuracy -- Pre-populated with 15 standard CQC-regulated activities including Personal care, Treatment of disease/disorder/injury, and Maternity services

  • Administrative Efficiency -- Reduces maintenance overhead and ensures compliance with current regulatory standards

Enhanced CQC Notification Forms

All CQC notification forms have been updated with improved field options, enhanced demographic selections, and better UI consistency. These updates ensure forms meet current regulatory requirements while providing a more intuitive user experience.

Key Improvements:

  • Regulated Activity Integration -- Multi-select dropdowns populated from centralized master data for consistent selections

  • Updated Demographics -- Enhanced Ethnicity options to correspond with CQC nomenclators across applicable forms

  • Religion/Belief Enhancements -- Updated options to match CQC nomenclators

  • Form Consistency -- Small updates to align generated notifications with official CQC form layouts and styling

New Features

Master Data Configuration for Regulated Activities

A new "Regulated Activities" section has been added to the Configure Master Data area, allowing administrators to manage the complete list of regulated activities used across CQC notification forms. This centralized approach ensures consistency and accuracy in activity selection throughout the system.

Accessing Regulated Activities Management:

  • Navigate to the Admin section of the application

  • Select "Configure Master Data" from the Admin menu

  • Select the new "Regulated Activities" section

  • Use "Add new" to create additional activities as needed

Available management options:

  • Name field -- Define the regulated activity name

  • Description field -- Add optional detailed descriptions

  • Edit/Delete actions -- Modify existing activities or remove unused entries

  • All forms automatically use this centralized data source

Enhanced Form Capabilities Across All CQC Notifications

Serious Injury Notification Updates:

  • New Regulated Activity multi-select field in Step 1 (Provider and Location) using master data

  • Updated Ethnicity options in Step 7 (Additional information) to correspond with CQC nomenclators

  • Enhanced Religion/Belief options in Step 7 to match CQC nomenclators

  • Small updates to align generated notifications with official CQC form layouts and styling

Allegation of Abuse Notification Updates:

  • Enhanced Ethnicity options for both Victims (Step 5) and Abusers (Step 6) to correspond with CQC nomenclators

  • Updated Religion/Belief options for both Victims and Abusers to match CQC nomenclators, with "If other, please specify" field when "Other" is selected

  • Small updates to align generated notifications with official CQC form layouts and styling

Death Notification Updates:

  • Small updates to align generated notifications with official CQC form layouts and styling

Police Incident Notification Updates:

  • Regulated Activity multi-select field in Step 2 (Location) when a home is selected

  • New "This notification affects all the provider's locations" checkbox - when ticked, all available locations are displayed in read-only mode; when unticked, all locations are removed

  • Enhanced Ethnicity and Religion/Belief options in Step 6 to correspond with CQC nomenclators

  • Comprehensive form validation for all new fields

Deprivation of Liberty Notification Updates:

  • Updated Regulated Activity field to multi-select dropdown in Step 1 using master data

  • New mandatory "Date outcome receive” when Authorized/Not authorized is selected or “Date of withdrawal)" when Withdraw is selected field in Step 3

  • Small updates to align generated notifications with official CQC form layouts and styling

Pre-configured Regulated Activities

The system comes pre-populated with 15 standard regulated activities including Personal care, Accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care, Treatment of disease/disorder/injury, Surgical procedures, Maternity and midwifery services, and others. These can be customized as needed for your organization's requirements.


How this version will be made available

This update will be automatically rolled out to all customers on 1st of September.
