Evo Researcher: Audit Trend & Action Planning Template

Written by Product Team

What is Evo Researcher?

Evo Researcher is an AI-powered research and collaboration tool built into the Evo platform. Think of it as project-based AI chat.

It's designed for work that involves reading, analysing, or producing documents where the context matters as much as the question. Rather than asking a generic AI chatbot, you're working with an AI that already knows your audit records, your services, and your compliance history.

Four things make Evo Researcher more than a chatbot:

Projects

One persistent workspace for your data, instructions, and everything Researcher produces shared with your whole team.

Uploads & Instructions

The files and data a project remembers, plus a standing brief that keeps every answer consistent.

Artifacts

Real deliverables — a summary, a cross-service table, a board digest — built from your data, not a chat reply you copy out by hand.

Connectors

Live connections to your ACC data, so Researcher works from your actual audit records.

What it does for Care Compliance

The Audit Trend & Action Planning Researcher connects directly to your Access Care Compliance (ACC) data and gives you three core capabilities:

1. Audit & Action Trend Analysis

Analyses your audit results and outstanding actions over time to surface recurring themes, worsening areas, and emerging risks. Every finding is cited back to the specific audit record it came from.

This replaces the need to manually review individual audit records.

2. Cross-Service Overview & RAG Summary

Produces a cross-service audit summary table and RAG-rated (Red / Amber / Green) status view showing which services are improving, stable, or declining — and which have audits due or overdue. Each RAG rating comes with a justification grounded in your ACC data.

This replaces logging into each service individually to build a portfolio picture.

3. Draft Action Plan Proposals

Proposes structured draft action plan entries based on audit findings and current actions, each citing its source record..

Who is it for?

Registered Manager

  • See if the same issues keep recurring across audit periods

  • Understand outstanding and overdue actions in context

  • Get draft action proposals without re-keying data

Area Manager

  • Monitor all services in one view

  • Spot which services need escalation before they become CQC findings

  • RAG-rated portfolio view with trend direction

Compliance Director

  • Board-ready quarterly digest without manual compilation

  • Upload your report template and have it populated with live data

  • Cross-region benchmarking and portfolio-level risk view

How to use it

Getting started

  1. Open Evo Researcher Sign in to the Evo platform, click the Evobutton, then select Evo Researcher from the Products menu. You'll land on the projects dashboard.

  2. Open the Care Compliance project Your admin will have set up the Audit Trend & Action Planning project for you. Select it from the dashboard — your ACC data connection is already configured.

  3. Ask your question in the chat Type what you want to know in plain language. Researcher will query your live ACC data and respond with cited findings. See the sample prompts below to get started.

  4. Download your artifact When Researcher produces a summary table, RAG view, or draft action plan, it appears as a downloadable artifact. Click to preview or download.

What it won't do

Researcher is designed to support your judgement, not replace it. There are deliberate boundaries:

  • It won't create action plan entries in ACC automatically — all draft proposals require your review and manual logging

  • It won't fabricate data — if your ACC data is missing or insufficient to answer a query, it will tell you so explicitly rather than estimating.

  • It won't show you data outside your permitted scope — Researcher enforces your existing ACC access controls. You only see what you're authorised to see.

  • It won't cover complaints, incidents, or mock inspection data — these are outside the current Template scope.

  • It won't benchmark against CQC national data — comparisons are internal only (service vs service, region vs region).

A note on citations

Every trend claim, risk statement, and action proposal Researcher surfaces is cited back to a specific ACC record. If Researcher can't find evidence in your data to support a statement, it won't make one.
