Incident Management v3 permissions

Learn how role-based permissions control access to sections of the incident form in Incident Management v3, including the difference between MyIncidents and MyLocations.

Written by Donna Parker

Access to sections of the incident form in Incident Management v3 is controlled by role-based permissions. Each permission level determines which sections a user can edit or submit, and which sections are displayed as read-only.

Permission levels

🤓 Tip: If your role only includes MyIncidents_CreateViewEditInprogress, you can still view the entire incident form. However, only the Incident Reporting section will be editable, all other sections are displayed as read-only.

The table below outlines the available permissions and what each one allows. To assign these permissions to a role, see Manage role permissions.

What it allows

MyIncidents_CreateViewEditInprogress

Difference between MyIncidents and MyLocations

The MyIncidents and MyLocations permissions provide the same functionality, with one key difference in the scope of incidents each user can view.

  • MyIncidents: Allows users to view only the incidents they have created.

  • MyLocations: Allows users to view all incidents associated with the homes or locations they have access to.

To add or update these permissions on a role, see Manage role permissions.
